Open FPGA Remote laboratory – iceZUM Alhambra

En el pasado congreso internacional TAEE 2022, celebrado en Teruel, hemos publicado el artículo «Development of a remote laboratory to control the FPGA iceZUM Alhambra to perform practices at UNED».

Os dejamos aquí el abstract:

In this work, a Remote Laboratory is implemented with the FPGA IceZUM Alhambra. Applications and components are currently being developed, so all the advances made are new contributions. The remote laboratory allows to manipulate the IceZUM Alhambra FPGA. Industrial engineering students can learn how to set it up from home. Being able to carry out practices remotely is of great importance in Distance Education since the student and the educational center do not usually coincide in space. For the remote control of the FPGA a web page has been implemented. The user can handle different peripherals controlled by the FPGA. Teaching material has been developed for the use of the remote laboratory. Finally, a report of practices with increasing order of difficulty has been proposed to be carried out in a remote laboratory.
