{"id":1735,"date":"2020-07-23T10:19:56","date_gmt":"2020-07-23T10:19:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/open.ieec.uned.es\/iot\/?p=1735"},"modified":"2020-07-23T10:19:56","modified_gmt":"2020-07-23T10:19:56","slug":"publicado-articulos-sobre-iot-para-entornos-agricolas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/open.ieec.uned.es\/iot\/publicado-articulos-sobre-iot-para-entornos-agricolas\/","title":{"rendered":"Publicado art\u00edculo sobre IoT para entornos agr\u00edcolas"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Recientemente la revista Open Access de la Editorial MDPI \u00abSustainability\u00bb ha publicado nuestro art\u00edculo \u00ab<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/2071-1050\/12\/15\/5913\">Autonomous Sensor Network for Rural Agriculture Environments, Low Cost, and Energy Self-Charge<\/a><\/strong>\u00bb que forma parte del Special Issue \u00abApplications of Internet of Things (IoT): Challenges and Opportunities\u00bb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"http:\/\/open.ieec.uned.es\/iot\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Fig1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1738\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La revista Sustainability est\u00e1 indexada en el Journal Citation Ranking (Science) con un \u00edndice de impacto en 2019 de 2.576, lo que supone estar en el Q2 de su categor\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aqu\u00ed os dejamos el abstract:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Over the last years, existing technologies have been applied to agricultural environments, resulting in new precision agriculture systems. Some of the multiple profits of developing new agricultural technologies and applications include the cost reduction around the building and deployment of them, together with more energy-efficient consumption. Therefore, agricultural precision systems focus on developing better, easier, cheaper, and overall more efficient ways of handling agricultural monitoring and actuation. To achieve this vision, we use a set of technologies such as Wireless Sensor Networks, Sensors devices, Internet of Things, or data analysis. More specifically, in this study, we proposed a combination of all these technologies to design and develop a prototype of a precision agriculture system for medium and small agriculture plantations that highlights two major advantages: efficient energy management with self-charging capabilities and a low-cost policy. For the development of the project, several prototype nodes were built and deployed within a sensor network connected to the cloud as a self-powered system. The final target of this system is, therefore, to gather environment data, analyze it, and actuate by activating the watering installation.
